Over at Footprints…. Christy Bharath has written an impressively completist mass-review of movies featuring Timothy Olyphant. What did he think of “High Life”?

I seriously haven’t had this much fun watching two guys screw up their lives since Andy Serkis and Reece Shearsmith in The Cottage.

Thanks Christy!

Here’s a nice clip of the cast being interviewed on “Out There with Melissa DiMarco”

The Music of “High Life”

Billy

One of the most common questions we get asked is what certain pieces of music in the film are (classic rock purists are aghast right now, but it’s true).

So to help out, here’s a complete list of the songs used in the film:

April Wine

  • Roller
  • You Could Have Been a Lady
  • I like to Rock
  • Say Hello

Creedence Clearwater Revival

  • Have you Ever Seen the Rain

Max Webster

  • Diamonds, Diamonds

New Order

  • Age of Consent

Pagliaro

  • Some Sing, Some Dance

Three Dog Night

  • Mama Told Me Not to Come

And for the true completest, and some have asked, yes Keith Mansfields “International Athletics” is hidden in there as well.

Witty, well-acted and full of surprises, it’s a Canadian answer to the Coen brothers, with a Tarantino kick.
