The Music of “High Life”

Billy

One of the most common questions we get asked is what certain pieces of music in the film are (classic rock purists are aghast right now, but it’s true).

So to help out, here’s a complete list of the songs used in the film:

April Wine

  • Roller
  • You Could Have Been a Lady
  • I like to Rock
  • Say Hello

Creedence Clearwater Revival

  • Have you Ever Seen the Rain

Max Webster

  • Diamonds, Diamonds

New Order

  • Age of Consent

Pagliaro

  • Some Sing, Some Dance

Three Dog Night

  • Mama Told Me Not to Come

And for the true completest, and some have asked, yes Keith Mansfields “International Athletics” is hidden in there as well.

  1. Sweet – thanks! Now if you could only point us in the right direction for the great music score! PS – Tacoma WA here – had an amazing time in Vancouver at the Olympics – love Canada!!!

    Hi Chad,

Thanks. The score is by the very talented Jonathan Goldsmith.

I don’t know of any immediate plans to make the score available – but since you’re south of the 49th parallel – you’ll be able to pick up the DVD in a week.

  3. Sounds good – thanks for the tip(s)! Great movie guys – will pick up the DVD the second it drops – cheers!
